Hotel Reservation Terms and Conditions

By visiting our resort, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

By booking this reservation, you confirm your agreement to these terms and condition. Other terms and conditions may also apply depending upon your specific offer.

Daily Resort Fee. A $24 Daily Resort Fee plus applicable tax will be added to your room rate for each complimentary (if applicable) and purchased room night which entitles you to receive the following amenities that are sure to enhance your experience at MGM Grand Detroit: Valet parking, in-room high speed internet, in-room Keurig coffee maker, bottled water, unlimited local, domestic long distance (the 50 United States and DC) and toll-free calls, digital newspaper and magazine downloads through PressReader for duration of reservation, fitness center and pool access for guests 14+ (Adult supervision required for minors), airline boarding pass printing and select business center services. Amenities, such as fitness center access, are subject to availability and guest demand. Daily resort fees will be waived (removed from the bill at check out) for eligible members with Gold+ Tier level status with eligible reservations (subject to eligibility and other terms and conditions available at https://www.mgmresorts.com/en/mgm-rewards/daily-resort-fee-waiver.html).

*For each complimentary night in your reservation (if any), the daily resort fee (plus tax) for such night will be waived and the Resort Fee and Estimated Resort Fee Tax, Reservation Total, and Estimated Balance shown above will be reduced accordingly.

Check In/Check Out. Check in time is 4:00 pm and check out time is 11:00 am.

Additional Occupant Charge. There is an additional charge of $20 plus tax per occupant, per night, above 2 occupants per room.

Additional Charges. There are additional charges for unauthorized late check-out depending on time of departure. Should your plans require you to extend your departure date, please check with the Front Desk on room availability, but note that your rate is subject to change.

* Taxes. Estimated taxes are based on current tax rates which are subject to change as required by applicable law. Taxes may include lodging tax, sales tax, entertainment tax, etc. Lodging taxes apply to the basic room rate, additional per occupant charges, upgrades, as well as any other charges as required by applicable law. In the event that lodging is part of a package offering that includes food & beverage, entertainment, or other taxable or nontaxable goods and services, the applicable taxes, if any, will be computed on each component of the package in accordance with applicable tax laws and will be shown on your final invoice at check-out. Additional taxes, if any, will be due upon check-out.

Room Status. MGM Grand Detroit reserves the right to check the status of all rooms/suites at any time.

Firearms Policy. Firearms are not permitted on the premises of MGM Grand Detroit, including within our hotel rooms. If requested, safekeeping of properly registered firearms can be arranged.

Credit/Debit Card Charges. MGM Grand Detroit, LLC ("MGM") requires a major credit or debit card upon check-in which will be authorized for room charge, plus taxes and an incidentals deposit of $100 per stay in all room types except $500 per stay in the Penthouse Suite. You authorize MGM to place a hold on your credit or debit card to guarantee charges. We do not accept pre-paid cards. Debit card authorization holds may remain on your account up to 7 business days after the transaction date depending on your bank's policy. In the event that you do not settle your account prior to your departure, MGM Detroit may charge your credit or debit card or apply funds you have on deposit with MGM against the amount owing.

Responsibility for Charges and Damages. By accepting occupancy, you agree that regardless of billing or master account arrangements, you are liable for all charges posted to your room(s). You are liable for all damage to the room(s) caused by you or your guests/invitees. You agree that any guests authorized by you to charge to your room must be at least 21 years old to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages. We have no liability for guest valuables.

Smoking Charges. The hotel is smoke-free. If there is evidence of smoking in your accommodations, you will incur a minimum deep cleaning fee of $250 for standard rooms and $500 for suites, will be charged to your credit card, plus applicable taxes. Please note that e-cigs, vapors, hookahs, marijuana, etc. fall under our non-smoking policy.

Refund of Deposit. The first night's deposit is fully refundable provided a timely notice of cancellation is received by Room Reservations at 877.888.2121 at least 24 hours prior to the arrival date, unless specifically excluded by booked offer or special event terms and conditions. Cancellations less the 24 hours before your scheduled arrival (and no shows) will result in a forfeiture of the first night's deposit. If you have a complimentary stay (or at least the first night is complimentary) cancellations and changes to your reservation will be accepted 24 hours prior to the day of arrival without penalty. Late cancellations, or now shows, will result in one-night room and tax charge.

Room Requests. Every effort will be made to accommodate your requests for specific room type and location, but we are unable to guarantee any requests as rooms are not assigned until check in. Additional fees plus applicable taxes may apply depending on the specific requests.

Age Requirement (21+). Guests must be at least 21 years of age in order to check into the hotel. All guests must be at least 21 years old to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages. Reminder: Per Michigan law, you must be 21 years or older to gamble.

Miscellaneous. The extent of any complimentaries received is based upon qualified casino play that is reviewed during and after your stay. Please notify the Front Desk immediately if there are any errors to name, rate or length of stay. Room rates, resort fees, additional occupant charges, cancellation fees, and cleaning fees are based on rates and fees applicable at time of booking your reservation, not at time of check-in (unless date of booking/check-in are the same or as otherwise provided herein). Applicable taxes are computed at the rate required by law at the time of the applicable transaction.

Telephone Calls. Telephone calls made from hotel phones (including in guest rooms, lobbies, hallways or elevators) to hotel operators or other hotel staff (such as front desk, concierge, room service, etc.) may be monitored and recorded by hotel management for purposes of quality assurance, training, security or mutual protection.

Marketing. By providing your e-mail address, street address and/or other contact information, you consent to receiving marketing, informational and promotional e-mails, direct mail and other communications (electronic and otherwise) from MGM Resorts International and its related and/or affiliated properties, and you consent to our sharing such information with MGM Resorts International and its related and/or affiliated properties, and with our business partners and other third parties. Safes. In-room fireproof safes are provided for guests to deposit their valuables. MGM Grand Detroit will not be responsible for valuables not deposited in the safe.

Use of Accommodations. Hotel rooms and suites are intended solely for the purpose of overnight lodging and accommodation and may not be utilized for exhibition and/or sale of goods, products, wares or services, and/or for any other commercial or illegal activity other than networking, without first receiving the separate written consent of MGM Grand Detroit. Without limiting the forgoing, should you utilize your room(s) and/or suite(s) for any commercial or illegal activity, you hereby agree to indemnify, defend and hold MGM Grand Detroit and MGM Grand Detroit's parent companies, subsidiaries and affiliates, free, clear and harmless from, and against, any and all claims and liabilities in connection with such activities.

In-Room Refreshment Centers. Fully-stocked refreshment centers are provided in each guest room, not intended for storage of personal items. Stocked items plus applicable taxes are billed to the guest's account as soon as they are removed from the refreshment center.
